Raiders 20th in NFL Team Value
The increase in franchise value is attributed to the team's search for a new stadium. The Raiders reportedly could relocate to Los Angeles or Las Vegas or remain in Oakland. In 2015 valuations, the Raiders ranked 31st at $1.43 billion. In the Forbes' 2016 NFL valuations, the Dallas Cowboys are first at $4.2 billion followed by the New England Patriots at $3.4 billion. Rounding out the top five, the New York Giants at $3.1 billion, San Francisco 49ers at $3 billion and Washington Redskins at $2.95 billion. The bottom five are the Buffalo Bills at $1.2 billion, Detroit Lions at $1.65 billion, Cincinnati Bengals at $1.65 billion, New Orleans Saints at $1.75 billion and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at $1.8 billion. Raiders 31st in NFL Team Value
In 2014, the Raiders were valued at $970 million — 28th in the NFL. In the Forbes' 2015 NFL valuations, the Dallas Cowboys are first at $4 billion followed by the New England Patriots at $3.2 billion. Rounding out the top five, the Washington Redskins are worth $2.85 billion, the New York Giants $2.8 billion and the San Francisco 49ers at $2.7 billion. The average NFL team value increased to $1.11 billion, up 7 percent, from 2011. The Dallas Cowboys are first at $2.1 billion followed by the New England Patriots at $1.635 billion. Rounding out the top five, the Washington Redskins are worth $1.6 billion, the New York Giants $1.468 billion and the Houston Texans $1.305 billion.
