Raiders 24, Titans 21

Nov. 29, 2015
Nissan Stadium
Nashville, TN

STAR OF THE GAME
Derek Carr throws for 330 yards and three touchdowns on 24 of 37 passing to lead visiting Oakland (5-6) to a come-from-behind win over Tennessee (2-9) on a wet, sloppy day. His 12-yard scoring pass to Seth Roberts with 1:21 left erases a 21-17 deficit. Carr also throws TD passes to Michael Crabtree for 7 yards and a 10-yarder to Roberts.

KEY STATS
Derek Carr throws for 300 or more yards for the sixth time this season — joining Rich Gannon (10 in 2002) and Carson Palmer (6 in 2012) as the only Raiders with six or more in a season. Carr's 330 passing yards come against a Tennessee defense ranked third against the pass (214.2) entering the game.
The Raiders' maligned defense allows only 249 total yards and stops the Titans on nine of 12 third-down tries. Oakland surrenders only 218 passing yards to Marcus Mariota and has interceptions by David Amerson and Nate Allen. The Raiders enter the game ranked 30th against the pass, allowing 290.5 yards per game.
Oakland's Amari Cooper and Seth Roberts combine for 13 catches for 228 yards and two TDs. Cooper finihes with seven catches for 115 yards while Robertxs has six catches for 113 yards and two scores.
The Titans lose their 11 straight home game, tying the third longest home skid in league history. Tennessee has dropped three straight overall and nine of 10.
A Titans holding penalty on fourth down extends a Raiders' drive late in the fourth quarter. Two plays later, Derek Carr throws a game-winning TD pass to Seth Roberts.
The Raiders end a three-game overall losing streak and snap a three-game losing streak to the Titans.

THEY SAID IT
“I’m really proud of the way the guys stayed in it. It was tough. There was a reason to be discouraged. You’re in control of the game, you fumble it and all of a sudden they go down and get a score. And it’s ‘Oh my gosh, what are we going to do?’ Well, we’re going to go down there and find a way to get it in there and get a score.”

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio

“The one call is the call, it changes the game, changes the outcome of the game. It’s frustrating, very frustrating.”

Titans coach Mike Mularkey

“It just shows us we’re doing things the right way. It shows us that what we do works. You can win in this league with the way we’re doing things. Now we just need to get better at doing it.”
