Texans 19, Raiders 17

FLASH RECAP:
Kris Brown's 46-yard field goal with eight seconds left lifts Houston to a come-from-behind victory over Oakland before an announced crowd of 70,116 at Reliant Stadium on Aug. 20, 2005.

The Texans (1-1) erase a 17-7 halftime deficit on four second-half field goals -- three by Brown (20, 53 and 46 yards) and one from Chris Snyder (31 yards). Oakland's Sebastien Janikowski misses field goals of 52 and 49 yards during the fourth quarter after making a 39-yarder on the final play of the first half.

The Raiders' Kerry Collins is 14-of-18 passing for a 191 yards and two touchdowns in a sizzling first-half performance. Collins throws 4- and 70-yard touchdown passes to Doug Gabriel during the first quarter. Reggie Swinton catches a 4-yard TD pass from David Carr on the Texans' opening possession.

Showing they're in regular-season form, the Raiders (0-2) commit nine penalties for 94 yards. The Texans have eight penalties for 46 yards.

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

Houston
K Kris Brown -- Kicks field goals of 20, 54 and 46 yards during the fourth quarter.
CB Marcus Coleman -- His second-quarter interception in the end zone prevents the Raiders from going up 21-7.
WR Sloan Thomas -- Contributes 15- and 22-yard receptions to help set up field goals on the Texans' final two drives.

Oakland
QB Kerry Collins -- Is 14-of-18 passing for 191 yards and 2 TDs with 1 INT.
WR Doug Gabriel -- Catches 4- and 70-yard TD passes from Kerry Collins. Gabriel finishes with 4 catches for 89 yards.
PR Chis Carr -- His 31-yard punt return late in the first half sets up Sebastien Janikowski's 39-yard field goal.

KEY STAT:
The Texans score 12 unanswered points during the second half after trailing 17-7 at halftime.

After the Texans drive 76 yards in 12 plays for a touchdown on their first possession, the Raiders' first-string team allows only nine yards the rest of the first half.
