Raiders 27, Panthers 24

FLASH RECAP:
Thankfully, The Streak is over.

Sebastien Janikowski kicks a 19-yard field goal to lift visiting Oakland to a victory over Carolina before an announced crowd of 73,518 at Bank of America Stadium on Nov. 7, 2004.

With their first victory since Sept. 26, the Raiders (3-6) end a five-game losing streak and 13-game road losing streak. The defending NFC champ Panthers (1-7) suffer their sixth straight loss.

Tyrone Wheatley rushes for two TDs as the Raiders win on the road for the first time since a 27-7 victory at San Diego on Dec. 8, 2002. The Panthers, who erase a 24-14 deficit in the fourth quarter, fall to 0-4 at home.

After Jake Delhomme throws a 3-yard touchdown pass to running back Nick Goings to deadlock the score with 2 minutes, 25 seconds left, Collins moves the Raiders 71 yards in five plays to set up Janikowski's winning field goal.

THEY SAID IT:
"Not to knock the Panthers, but they're not a good team. We're not a good team, but we felt like we could beat the Panthers. Somewhere along the line, you've got to get tired of it."

Raiders CB Charles Woodson

"It's not like guys are beating us. We do stupid stuff. Guys start pressing, wanting to do more than they should, and that does affect you as a football team. Right now, we're pressing way too much in too many different areas."

Panthers S Mike Minter
