Packers 30, Raiders 20

Dec. 20, 2015
O.co Coliseum
Oakland, CA

STAR OF THE GAME
The Green Bay defense starts off strong and finishes the same way against Oakland. Safety Micah Hyde sets up John Kuhn’s 5-yard TD run with a 34-yard interception return to the Oakland 2 eight minutes into the first quarter. On the Raiders’ next offensive play, cornerback Damarious Randall returns a Derek Carr interception 43 yards for a pick-6 and a quick 14-0 Packers lead. After the Raiders rally for a 20-17 advantage midway through the third quarter, Green Bay shuts out Oakland on its final five possessions. The Packers sack Carr three times and limit the Raiders to 5 of 17 on third-down tries.

KEY STATS
With their third straight home loss, the Raiders (6-8) are eliminated from playoff contention for a 13th consecutive season. Oakland also is assured of a 13th straight non-winning season. The Raiders have not made the playoffs or have a winning record since 2002.
The Packers (10-4) clinch a club-record seventh consecutive playoff berth with the New York Giants losing to Carolina earlier in the day.
With a 41-yard catch in the third quarter, rookie Amari Cooper becomes the first Raider to reach 1,000 receiving yards in a season since Randy Moss accomplished the feat in 2005. Cooper finishes with six catches for 120 yards and two TDs against the Packers.
Ex-Raider James Jones has six catches for 82 yards and TD. His 30-yard scoring catch with 5:46 left in the third period erases a 20-17 Green Bay deficit.
The Raiders have 10 penalties for 95 yards. They enter the game 5-0 this season when having 10 or more infractions.

THEY SAID IT
“It’s a crazy game. I’ve been cut from two teams so I don’t hold any grudges for anybody. I just go out there every game trying to play well. It wasn’t trying to get back at the Raiders; I love those dudes over there.”

Packers WR James Jones

“I guess it’s a good thing to do but people go for 1,000 yards every year so it’s not really a big thing.”

Raiders WR Amari Cooper
