Raiders 34, Jets 24

FLASH RECAP:
Darren McFadden has 171 rushing yards and two touchdowns to lead Oakland to a victory over New York before an announced crowd of 61,546 at O.co Coliseum on Sept. 25, 2011.

Trailing 14-7, the Raiders (2-1) score 24 unanswered points. Michael Bush's 1-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter gives Oakland a 31-17 advantage.

Mark Sanchez throws for a career-high 369 yards and two touchdowns for New York (2-1) but is sacked four times.

The Raiders have 234 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. It's the most rushing yards, most rushing TDs and third-most points allowed by the Jets since Rex Ryan became their head coach before the 2009 season.

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

Oakland
RB Darren McFadden — Has 171 yards on 19 carries and two TDs. He scores on 2- and 70-yard runs during the first half. McFadden has a whopping 121 rushing yards on 11 carries against New York in the first half.

DE Jarvis Moore — Has two of the Raiders' four sacks against Mark Sanchez and a tackle for loss.

WR Denarius Moore — His 23-yard TD run on a reverse breaks a 24-all tie with 40 seconds left in the third quarter.

QB Jason Campbell — Throws for 156 yards on 18 of 27 passing with no interceptions and an 81.7 efficiency rating. Campbell's 28-yard pass to Michael Bush sets up a 49-yard Sebastian Janikowski field goal, giving the Raiders a 34-24 lead with 2:32 remaining.

New York
QB Mark Sanchez — Throws for a career-high 369 yards and two TDs on 23 of 43 passing and a 96.0 passing rating. He also rushes for a TD.

RB LaDainian Tomlinson — Has 154 scrimmage yards and his 26th career TD against Oakland. L.T. has 116 receiving yards on five catches and adds 38 rushing yards on six carries.

WR Plaxico Burress — His 16-yard TD catch with 5:43 left narrows the Jets' deficit to 31-24. Burress finishes with three catches for 55 yards.

KEY STATS:
The Raiders have four sacks and allow only 100 rushing yards a week after having only one sack and surrendering 223 rushing yards in a loss at Buffalo.


The Raiders' Darren McFadden becomes only the second player the past 26 games to have 100 or more rushing yards against the Jets. The Chicago Bears' Matt Forte also accomplished the feat on Dec. 26, 2010.
The Raiders have 234 rushing yards on 32 carries (7.3 yards per rush). New York enters the game ranked ninth against the run (88.0 yards per game).
The Raiders have season lows in penalties (seven) and penalty yards (55). Oakland enters the game with league highs of 23 penalties and 216 penalty yards.
The Raiders are victorious despite going 0-for-8 on third downs conversion attempts — becoming the first team to win a game since the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1995 without converting a third down with a eight or more attempts.

TURNING POINT:
The Raiders score two touchdowns in a 42-second span of the second half. Denarius Moore scores on a 23-run on a reverse, giving Oakland a 24-17 lead with 40 seconds left in the third quarter. Two plays after New York coughs up the ball on the kickoff, Michael Bush scores on a 1-yard run with 14:58 remaining in the final period for a 31-17 Oakland advantage.
