Falcons 35, Raiders 10

FLASH RECAP:
Oakland (4-9) surrenders 219 rushing yards, coughs up three turnovers and commits nine penalties en route to a blowout loss to host Atlanta (10-3) before an announced crowd of 70,616 at the Georgia Dome on Dec. 12, 2004. T.J. Duckett rushes for four touchdowns as the Falcons clinch the NFC South title.

With their eighth loss in the past 10 games, the Raiders are eliminated from playoff contention.

Three Falcons touchdowns in a span of 7 minutes, 33 seconds of the second quarter erases a 3-0 deficit. Ex-Raider Rod Coleman (top) returns an interception 39 yards for a touchdown to give Atlanta a 21-3 with 1:14 left in the first half. Atlanta scores 14 points off of two Oakland turnovers in the second quarter.

The Falcons secure victory by marching for two touchdowns as they control the football for 17:09 of the first 21 minutes of the second half. The Raiders have the ball for only 23:27.

Raiders quarterback Kerry Collins is 14-of-28 passing for 166 yards with one interception. In Oakland's previous three games, Collins threw for nine TDs and averaged 303 yards passing.

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

Atlanta
RB T.J. Duckett -- Sets a Falcons record with four TDs on runs of 28, 2, 4 and 1 yards. The 254-pound back finishes with 65 rushing yards on 13 carries.
DT Rod Coleman -- The former Raider returns a Kerry Collins interception 39 yards for a TD to give the Falcons a 21-3 lead late in the second quarter.
PR Allen Rossum -- His 50-yard punt return sets up Atlanta's first touchdown.
RB Warrick Dunn -- Rushes for 103 yards on 23 carries. Dunn becomes the seventh back to rush for 100 or more yards this season against Oakland.

Oakland
WR John Stone -- Sets up Zack Crockett's 1-yard TD with a career-best 55-yard catch.
K Sebastien Janikowski -- Makes a 52-yard field goal, his eighth field goal this season in the first quarter.
P Shane Lechler -- Averages 49.2 yards on four punts. His 67-yarder equals his longest of the season.

GOAT(S):
Oakland run defense. The Falcons, who enter the game ranked first in the league in rushing offense (162.7 yards per game), have 219 rushing yards on 46 carries.

KEY STAT(S):
The Falcons convert 10 of 16 third-down attempts while the Raiders are 1-of-7 on third downs.

BY THE NUMBERS:
4: Touchdowns by Falcons RB T.J. Duckett, matching his total TDs for the season's first 12 games.
14: Oakland rushing yards in the second half after it gains 117 yards on the ground in the first half.
176: Total yards by Falcons QB Michael Vick (31 rushing, 145 passing). Vick averaged 230.1 total yards in the first 12 games of the season.
219: Falcons rushing yards, the second highest total the Raiders have surrendered this season. Denver rushed for 254 yards in a 31-3 win at Oakland on Oct. 17.
