Raiders 21, Cowboys 14
FLASH RECAP:
Rookie Marques Tuiasosopo engineers two fourth-quarter touchdown drives to lead Oakland past Dallas before an announced crowd of 37,978 fans at Network Associates Coliseum on Aug. 4, 2001. The Raiders erase a 14-7 deficit on Tuiasosopo's 40-yard scoring pass to Ken Yon-Rambo 2:29 into the final quarter. Tuiasosopo, a second-round draft choice from Washington, then moves Oakland 42 yards in five plays for the winning touchdown. Running back Chris Howard scores on an 8-yard run around right end with 2:52 to play. On the go-ahead drvie, Tuiasosopo completes a 13-yard pass to Jabbari Jackson on third-and-2 at the Dallas 21. Rookie Quincy Carter throws touchdown passes for 56 and 18 yards for the Cowboys.
PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:
Oakland
QB Marques Tuiasosopo -- Playing in his first NFL game, he completes 7 of 11 passes for 107 yards and a touchddown. He also has a game-high 37 yards rushing on five attempts.
WR Ken Yon-Rambo -- With an impressive stop-and-start move, he breaks away from Dallas safety Earl Riley on a 40-yard touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter.
QB Bobby Hoying -- Completes 12 of 15 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. In his second series, he moves Oakland 86 yards in 15 plays for the game's first score (a 3-yard Hoying pass to TE Mondriel Fulcher). Hoying hits on nine of 10 passes and runs twice for first downs on the drive.
WR Jerry Porter -- Contributes a team-high four receptions for 28 yards.
DT Junior Ioane -- Has two tackles for loss on running plays and a sack in less than a half of action.
Dallas
QB Quincy Carter -- Completes 9 of 16 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns.
WR Bashir Yamini -- His 18-yard touchdown catch gives the Cowboys a 14-7 lead 44 seconds into the fourth quarter.
WR Chris Brazzell -- Burns Oakland CB Eric Johnson on a 56-yard scoring pass from Quincy Carter with 9:59 left in the second quarter. Brazzell has a team-high four catches for 90 yards.
TURNING POINT:
After Dallas takes a 14-7 lead, QB Marques Tuiasosopo needs only three plays to get Oakland even. He completes a 12-yard pass to WR Alex Van Dyke followed by a 26-yarder to TE Andrew Glover. Tuiasosopo then throws a game-tying 40-yard scoring pass to WR Ken Yon-Rambo with 12:31 remaining.
KEY DRIVE:
The Raiders move 42 yards in five plays for the winning touchdown. Derek Combs runs 13 yards for a first down at the Dallas 29. On third-and-two at the Dallas 21, Marques Tuiasosopo throws to RB Jabbari Jackson for a 13-yard gain. On the next play, RB Chris Howard scores on an 8-yard run with 2:52 left.
BY THE NUMBERS:
0: Interceptions in a combined 63 passsing attempts by the Cowboys and Raiders.
0: Passes thrown to WR Jerry Rice, who was on the field for only two plays in his Oakland debut.
2: Touchdown catches allowed by Oakland CB Eric Johnson. Johnson had primary coverage on Chris Brazzell's 56-yard score and zone responsibility on Bashir Yamini's 18-yard reception.
5: Consecutive exhibition wins by Oakland over Dallas.
26: Combined penalties for Dallas and Oakland. The Cowboys committed 15 penalties for 115 yards while the Raiders had 11 infractions for 70 yards.

Oakland's Shane Lechler averages a woeful 35.4 yards on two punts (6 and 28 yards) against Dallas. He averaged 45.9 yards in 2000, second best in the NFL.
