The Los Angeles City Council wants no future business dealings with Al Davis and the Raiders.

By a 10-3 vote, the council adopted a resolution on Oct. 30, 1998 from Councilman Hal Benson, saying: "The city will not in any manner suppport the return of the Raider organization to the city of Los Angeles or any organization involving Al Davis."

The Raiders reportedly are considering returning to La-La Land if they escape their 11-year lease (signed in 1995) with the city of Oakland and Alameda County. The parties have been embroiled in a lawsuit since September 1997.
