Chiefs 31, Raiders 30

FLASH RECAP:
Lawrence Tynes kicks a 38-yard field goal with 22 seconds left to give Kansas City (7-8) a come-from-behind victory over Oakland (5-10) before an announced crowd of 77,289 fans at Arrowhead Stadium on Dec. 25, 2004.

Sebastian Janikowski's 46-yard field goal with 1 minute, 3 seconds left erases a 28-27 Chiefs lead. Kansas City's Dante Hall then returns Janikowski's squib kickoff 49 yards to the Oakland 36.

The Chiefs advance the ball to the Oakland 20 on two Trent Green pass completions (for 13 yards) and Larry Johnson's 3-yard run. On fourth-and-7, Tynes cooly delivers the game-winning field goal.

Green throws for 358 yards and two TDs (both to TE Tony Gonzalez) to help the Chiefs win their fourth straight. Gonzalez has 11 catches for 124 yards as Kansas City extends its winning streak to four games over arch rival Oakland.

Kerry Collins throws for 217 yards and two TDs for the Raiders, who self-destruct with 12 penalties for 90 yards. Oakland's Jerry Porter has a 5-yard TD catch in the first quarter, his eighth score the past five games.

The Raiders have 100 rushing yards, one more than the Chiefs. Oakland outrushes an opponent for the first time since its win at Carolina on Nov. 7.

Oakland completes its 2004 road schedule with a 2-6 record. The Raiders are 2-15 in their past 17 road games dating back to December 2002.

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

Kansas City
TE Tony Gonzalez -- Has nine catches for 112 yards and two TDs in the first half. The former Cal star finishes with 11 catches for 124 yards.
QB Trent Green -- Completes 32 of 45 passes for 358 yards and two TDs. Green passes to Chris Horn (6 yards) and Tony Gonzalez (7 yards) to help set up the game-winning field goal.
K Lawrence Tynes - Provides the margin of victory with a 38-yard field goal, his first game-winning kick in the NFL. During the first half, Tynes misses a 50 yarder (it hits the goal post) and his 43-yarder is blocked by Langston Walker.
KR Dante Hall -- His 49-yard return to the Oakland 36 helps set up Lawrence Tynes' game-winning field goal. Hall averages 29.2 yards on six kickoff returns.
RB Larry Johnson -- Rushes for 79 yards on 25 carries and two TDs.

Oakland
K Sebastian Janikowski -- Scores the Raiders' final nine points on field goals of 40, 45 and 46 yards.
QB Kerry Collins -- Is 18-of-37 passing for 217 yards and two TDs.
DT Ted Washington -- Forces a Trent Green fumble (which is recovered by Warren Sapp) at the Oakland 43-yard line with 1:42 left. The turnover leads to Sebastian Janikowski's go-ahead 46-yard field goal. Washington also contributes one of his team's four sacks.
LB Tyler Brayton -- His 24-yard interception return on Trent Green's first pass sets up the Raiders' first TD.
DT Warren Sapp -- Contributes a sack and fumble recovery. games.

GOAT:
Raiders kickoff coverage. After Oakland takes a 30-28 lead with 1:03 left, Kansas City's Dante Hall returns a Sebastian Janikowski squib kick 46 yards to the Raiders' 36. Six plays later, Lawrence Tynes nails the game-winning 38-yard field goal with 22 seconds left.

KEY STAT(S):
The Raiders have lost four straight to the Chiefs by an average of 4 1/2 points.

BY THE NUMBERS:
2: Sacks by Raiders DT Warren Sapp the past two games. Sapp had 0.5 sacks in Oakland's first 13 games this season.

DID YOU KNOW?:
The Chiefs are victorious in their first game on Christmas Day since a 27-24 double-overtime loss to visiting Miami in the AFC Divisional playoffs on Dec. 25, 1971. It's the longest game in NFL history -- 82 minutes, 40 seconds.
