FLASH RECAP:
Rookie Nate Davis engineers three scoring drives in the fourth quarter as San Francisco (2-0) holds on to beat visiting Oakland (1-1) before an announced crowd of 61,907 at Candlestick Park on Aug. 22, 2009.

After Charlie Frye’s 14-yard TD run narrows the Oakland deficit to 21-20 with 3:30 left, Frye throws incomplete intended for Will Franklin on the 2-point attempt.

Kory Sheets (5-yard run) and Delanie Walker (1-yard catch) score touchdowns during the 49ers' 18-point fourth-quarter outburst.

The Raiders build a 14-3 lead on touchdown catches by Louis Murphy (24 yards) and Brandon Myers (2 yards).

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

San Francisco
RB Glen Coffee — Has 129 rushing yards in the first half on 16 carries. The rookie from Alabama averages a whopping 8.1 yards per carry. He has runs of 16, 18, 18 and 35 yards.

QB Nate Davis — Produces three scoring drives, including two for touchdowns, during the fourth quarter to help the 49ers overcome an 11-point deficit. Davis finishes 6-of-11 passing for 67 yards and a touchdown.

DB Allen Rossum — Stops a promising Oakland drive by picking off a Jeff Garcia pass at the S.F. 9-yard line late in the first half.

Oakland
TE Brandon Myers — Catches a 2-yard TD pass from Bruce Gradkowski, boosting Oakland’s lead to 14-3 with 4:39 left in the third quarter. Myers finishes with a game-high four catches for 75 yards.

WR Louis Murphy — Hauls in a 24-yard TD pass from JaMarcus Russell on third-and-21, giving the Raiders a 7-0 lead in the second quarter.

LB Ricky Brown — Intercepts an Alex Smith pass and returns it 46 yards to the S.F. 7.

KEY STATS:
The Raiders surrender 275 rushing yards. The 49ers average 5.9 yards per carry on 47 rushes. Oakland ranked 31st against the run (159.7 yards per game) in the 2008 season.
