The National Football League owners on March 27, 2017 approved the Raiders' relocation from Oakland to Las Vegas, Nevada, by an overwhelming vote of 31-1 in Phoenix. The Miami Dolphins casted the only dissenting vote, according to published reports. The Raiders reportedly have lease options at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum for the next two seasons, and team owner Mark Davis said March 27 that the franchise could remain in Oakland for the 2019 season while their reported $1.9 billion, 65,000-seat stadium in Paradise, Nevada is being built. The Rams moved to Los Angeles in 2016 followed by the Chargers a year later and the Raiders are headed to Las Vegas in 2020. Those three teams won NFL approval to relocate in a span of 15 months.
