FLASH RECAP: Michael Husted kicks five field goal and Tyronne Wheatley scores two touchdowns as the Raiders overwhelm the Cardinals 43-7 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz. PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:
MLB Eric Barton -- The fifth-round draft choice from Maryland is a human highlight film in the third quarter with two interceptions and his first NFL touchdown on a 35-yard fumble return. RB Tyronne Wheatley -- Scores touchdowns on runs of 26 and 5 yards. He also has a game-high 75 yards rushing on 8 carries. CB Eric Allen -- He returns an intercepted pass 40 yards to the Arizona 40, setting up Oakland's first touchdown. It was Allen's first interception since he suffered a season-ending knee injury last Nov. 15. QB Bobby Hoying -- He completes 8 of 12 passes for 62 yards with no interceptions. The former Eagle also rushes for 16 yards on 2 attempts.

FLASH RECAP: Reserve wide receivers Damon Griffin and Na'il Benjamin each catch a touchown pass in the second half as the 49ers rally to beat the Raiders 16-8 before an announced crowd of 61,901 at Network Associates Coliseum. PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:
WR Na'il Benjamin -- Clinches the San Francisco victory by catching a 13-yard touchdown pass from Jeff Garcia with 2:36 remaining. Benjamin also makes a 21-yard reception on 3rd-and-10 to keep the 48-yard drive alive. DT Darrell Russell -- He has a sack and forces a safety (when Steve Young is called for illegal grounding in the end zone) on successive plays in the first quarter. QB Bobby Hoying -- The former Eagle makes his debut with the Raiders by completing 8 of 18 passes for 135 and suffering two interceptions. He joined Oakland on Aug. 24 in a trade with Philadelphia. DT Chuck Osborne -- He sacks Druckenmiller and also tackles running back Lawrence Phillips for a 7-yard loss.

FLASH RECAP: Running back Tyrone Wheatley scores on a 1-yard run with 35 seconds remaining as the Raiders defeat the Cowboys 10-3 at Network Associates Coliseum. Three plays earlier, Oakland quarterback Scott Dreisbach suffers a broken right fibula when he is tackled from behind by Dallas defensive end Sam Simmons. Dreisbach, who played impresssively in the Raiders' first two preseason games, is expected to be sidelined from four to six weeks. PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:
LB D.J. Williams -- Cut in training camp by Dallas a year ago, he has a game-high 8 tackles and 2.5 sacks against his former team. RB Rashaan Salaam -- He leads the Raiders witth 61 yards rushing on 14 carries. DT Chuck Osborne -- He makes two of Oakland's six sacks. On successive plays in the second quarter, Osborne pressures Dallas quarterback Mike Quinn into an incompletetion followed by a sack. QB Troy Aikman -- He hits on 10 of 14 passses for 104 yards on the first two drives by the Cowboys.

FLASH RECAP: The Raiders open their 1999 exhibition season with a come-from-behind 18-17 triumph over the St. Louis Rams at the Trans World Dome. Quarterback Rich Gannon completes 7-of-10 passes with one interception in his Oakland debut. Gannon signed a four-year, $16 million contract with the Raiders in February. PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:
QB Trent Green -- Completes 7-of-8 passes for 119 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown pass to rookie Torry Holt, as the Rams build a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. LB K.D. Williams -- The Canadian Football League import contributes a fumble recovery and five tackles for Oakland. RB Chad Levitt -- The former Raiders' draft choice has 43 yards rushing and one touchdown for the Rams.
